Edible Cultlery With Various Flavors
The Indian company Bakeys has launched an alternative to disposable and single-use plastic cutlery: the first edible cutlery. This innovation is made of millets, rice and wheat, and, as the director of the company says, is “highly nutritious and has no preservatives”, as well as having a shelf life of 3 years.
The material can be used with warm liquids and can be eaten or thrown away when their used is finished, because it biodegrades and do not have specific requirements for degradation. When the spoons are exposed to nature “in an standard environment”, they degrade within 10 days or will be eaten by other animals. The different flavors of the spoons include: sugar, ginger-cinnamon, ginger-garlic, celery, black pepper, cumin, mint-ginger, and carrot-beetroot.
The also started a Kickstarter campaign in order to meet all the demands from the interested customers. Check it out!
